In today's lesson:

We are learning to understand how and why Real-time online information services can be used.

Online services to be covered:

• Train timetables
• News Services
• Traffic Reports
• Flight Status Updates
• Weather

How many real time public information services did I use in my journey?

Tasks:

1. Log into Google Docs
2. Click here to go to Google maps
3. Click on My Places and create a journey from your house to a destination of your choice. You must explain what real time information services you would use to make your journey and state why. (You can add links to websites where you would find the information)
4. Share your map with your teacher.

Extension Task:

Create a list of websites for each category listed above and explain how and why they might be used.
